Handle It! Mastering the Art of Functional Pottery Handles, May 22nd -June 26th 6-9pm

Level: All experienced levels welcome - beginner through advanced! Students must have previous experience in clay in order to make pieces to put handles on.  

Duration: 6 weeks

Have you ever felt stumped by handles? This fun and informative 6-week pottery class will transform your perspective on handles from an afterthought to an artistic opportunity to craft beautiful and functional handles!

We'll delve into the world of handles, exploring various creation techniques like slab, extrusion, templates, and variations of the traditional pulling method. You'll gain a strong understanding of what makes a handle not only beautiful but also comfortable and secure.

This class is open to both wheel throwers and handbuilders. We'll focus on incorporating handles seamlessly into your preferred pottery-making method. By the end of the class, you'll be full of ideas and confident in creating functional and stunning handles that elevate your pottery to the next level.

Clay-$22 per bag

Tools-$20 for beginner tool kit

In Addition to class time students are also allowed to work during open studio time through out the week which is 30 hours a week. Your instructor will give you the time at you first class meeting.
