Saturday, February 21 and 28, 2026
Step beyond the expected and discover new possibilities in clay during this immersive, hands-on workshop led by ceramic artist Holly Grey. Meeting on two consecutive Saturdays, February 21 and February 28, from 1–4 pm, this workshop invites participants to experiment with molds and fire to create bold, sculptural ceramic work.
In the first session, you’ll explore a variety of mold techniques—including press molds, slip-casting molds, and slump molds—to build unconventional forms that challenge traditional vessel making. Holly will guide you through her process, sharing tips on form, texture, and composition while encouraging playful experimentation.
The second session focuses on surface embellishment and finishing, preparing your pieces for Raku and pit firing. The workshop concludes with the firing itself, and you’ll leave with finished pieces that reflect both spontaneity and intention—each one uniquely shaped by process and flame.
