This course is 8 weeks meeting every Saturday from 2-5pm. Students will explore pottery through hand building techniques. Students will learn essential clay handling and care. Students will create hand built forms in clay. Techniques covered include pinching, coiling, slab building, and slump molding. Students will also experiment with slip decoration and surface techniques such as mishima, sqraffito, inlay, wash away, and glazing.
Open to beginners as well as intermediate students.
No Class Oct 24th or Nov 28th due to Thanksgiving break

Clay and tools will be available for purchase
Clay-$24 per bag
Tools-$29 for beginner tool kit
In Addition to class time students are also allowed to work during open studio time through out the week which is 30 hours a week. Your instructor will give you the time at you first class meeting.
