In this 8 week course students will design one-of-a-kind tiles. From patterns and sketches, students will create a series of tiles using press mold techniques and surface decorations. Techniques include slip application, oxide washes, carving, pinching, coiling, stamping, glazing. Firings will include, cone six oxidation, pit, saggar and raku firings.

In Addition to class time students are also allowed to work during open studio time through out the week which is 30 hours a week. Your instructor will give you the time at you first class meeting.
