Vases: Form, Function & Design

Class Description:
Explore a variety of techniques for creating unique ceramic flower vases. In this class, students will experiment with different forming and building methods, including wheel-thrown, wheel-thrown and altered, coil-built, slab-built, and extruded vases. Emphasis will be placed on exploring form, proportion, surface design, and function while developing creative approaches to vase design.
Students must have completed at least one hand-building class and one wheel-throwing class prior to enrolling.

Clay and tools will be available for purchase
Clay-$24 per bag
Tools-$29 tool kit
In Addition to class time students are also allowed to work during open studio time through out the week which is 30 hours a week. Your instructor will give you the time at you first class meeting.
